CAT Exam Pattern

• The paper will consist of three sections - Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability.
• The total test duration for the exam will be 180 mins.
• Each section will have a time limit of 60 minutes and candidates cannot switch between sections.
• Like the last two years, this year also there will be Non MCQ type questions.
• Like last year this year the use of basic on-screen calculator is allowed.

CAT Preparation Strategy

• Students should focus on strengthening their grasp on fundamentals and take practice tests regularly. As the test pattern remains same, the students should continue following their study plan and focus on topics and sections that are their nemesis. This might also result in a slightly difficult paper
• For the first time CAT takers it is important to take as many mocks as possible so that they get acquainted with the pattern. The CAT repeaters should spend time introspecting what went wrong last year and taking more number of mocks is the key.
